A Scientific Adventure among Fossils and Geology in the Heart of Sardinia
The Little Paleontologist Summer Camp is a three-day educational experience dedicated to children aged 7 to 12, who want to discover the world of paleontology through scientific activities, practical workshops and adventures in nature.
The camp takes place in Genoni, Sardinia, between the PARC – Paleontological Museum, the Duidduru Quarry Geosite and the Giara Park, with overnight accommodation at the Cuaddus e Tellas Agritourism. Participants are supervised by professional educators and a paleontologist.
Main Activities
- Paleontological excavation simulation at the Duidduru Quarry
- Analysis and cleaning of fossils in the museum laboratory
- Scientific experiments on fossilization, stratigraphy and tectonics
- Excursions in the Giara Park
- Evening group activities and recreational moments
